Independence High School Launches Its First-Ever Esports Team

Independence High School is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever esports team, marking an exciting new chapter for students, staff, and the school community. This inaugural season introduces competitive gaming as an official school activity, combining student passion with structured learning and teamwork.

The team will compete in Rocket League, one of the most popular and accessible esports titles for student competition. As a first-year program, the focus will be on building fundamentals, sportsmanship, and collaboration, with plans to expand into additional games in future seasons.
